1998-2023
4th May 1998 was Star Wars Day. Like every year. I didn't know it back then. But it helps remembering the day when my website went online and Dub Flash saw the light of day. On 4th May 2023, the site was online for a whopping 25 years. Not bad. I had planned a couple of things in order to celebrate this big anniversary. Find out what below.
The picture was taken on 4th May 2023. On the laptop, you can see the previous photo from the 20th anniversary on 4th May 2018. Smooth, I know. ;)
In 2023, you could buy our complete back catalogue (DFR001-DFR022) in digital format PLUS the only remaining vinyl release DFR020: 2xLP V. A. "Escape Velocity" (info) for only 30€!
Yes, this is not a typo. Including free worldwide shipping! We gave away the album for almost free, basically. Only few copies remain.
All digital releases were provided via download codes on Bandcamp. (Please note: DFR011 and DFR015 don't exist there.) The offer was only available here on this page. If you prefered to order directly on Bandcamp, there was a 25% discount on the complete digital discography, but the vinyl record wasn't included.
You could order here directly via Paypal in order to take advantage of this brilliant anniversary deal. We asked you to spread the word! One person ordered this offer. We appreciate them.

There came four releases this year. Dub Rogue kicked off with a technoid dub adventure called "Dubs of Jupiter" (DFR023). This release was available digitally on 11th April 2023.
DFR024, a tribute to Style Scott was ready just in time for christmas. The album is called "TV's Greatest Dubs", is a free gift for the fans, and features 8 dub versions of "vocal" cuts that had been released throughout 2023 on Dub Flash's sublabel Whimsical Music.
On 4th May, DFR025 was ready. There was a very limited 7" vinyl which was pressed well in time (big up to My45.de) for the anniversary. The 25th anniversary featured artist was: KING ALPHA! You could pre-order the vinyl on the release-page. You can click on the label picture to get to the release page. It's sold out by the time you're reading this sentence.

As a secret project, as well as a surprise to everyone involved, DFR027 was released late that year, a re-release of a CD-only album called "Dub" by AB-10. I am super thrilled that this is now available on Dub Flash, as it's one of my favourite dub albums ever. THIS is what I consider 100% pure dub music. The title is program.
As a fun gimmick, a digital-only 10" release saw the light of day on 11.11.2023. It's a heavy stepping soundsystem hymn called "Park Of The Government" (DFR026), including a dub version called "Get Off The Sound". Word.
As a bonus, there were several more fun releases being released on the sublabel Whimsical Music.
Intergalaktik Sound and Dub Flash are good friends since 2003. Our first live session together was in 2004. In late 2023, we organised a friendly soundsystem session in Helsinki full of Dub and Steppers, promoting peace and quiet on a loud soundsystem. The sound was provided by IGS' side soundsystem "Kingdon Sound". If you were not there, it means you're not part of the super mega elitist, the only, the one Dub Flash entourage.
The picture is from 2010 when Intergalaktik Sound System was invited to play on our MoonBass Hi+Fi Soundsystem in Berlin.
